DAILY MAIL – 5 stars, Brian Viner
“It is stunningly acted, superbly written and wonderfully directed… Jawbone makes recent Hollywood productions such as Southpaw and Creed look feeble – and they weren’t. Immensely moving, relentlessly gripping film”
THE SUN – 4 stars, Jamie East – Film of The Week
“At times bleak but always moving, this low budget British movie is Rocky meets I, Daniel Blake – and it packs a terrific punch”
THE TIMES – 4 stars, Kevin Maher
“Harris brings a wealth of empathy and a hangdog sadness as Jimmy McCabe…It’s bracingly British and authentic film.”
I PAPER – 4 stars, Geoffrey Macnab
“We can spot from the outset which way the film is headed, but just because we see the punches coming doesn’t mean they fail to land”
FINANCIAL TIMES – 4 stars, Nigel Andrews
“Is British independent cinema having a sudden heyday? Jawbone is a cracking movie…It’s dunked in doomy wit and dark deprecation”
DAILY STAR – 4 stars, Andy Lea
“What makes it stand out is its heart and grit…It’s touching, rousing…and also bruisingly authentic”
TELEGRAPH – 3 stars, Tim Robey
“Most of all it needs Harris who has built and rendered a character Ken Loach might have won awards for”
GUARDIAN – 3 stars, Peter Bradshaw
“Unfakeably it comes from the heart. There is the smell of real sweat in this film and the blood and tears seem very real”
DAILY EXPRESS – 3 stars, Allan Hunter
“A dour, dogged little drama”

Weller's first full film score will be released 10th March.
Paul Weller's first ever film score is set for release Friday 10th March on vinyl LP, CD, download and stream.
A former youth boxing champion, Jimmy McCabe (Johnny Harris), is a man desperately in search of hope, but looking in all the wrong places. When he hits rock bottom he turns to his childhood boxing club and the only family he has left: gym owner Bill (Ray Winstone) cornerman Eddie (Michael Smiley) and promoter Joe (Ian McShane). In a battle between fear and faith, Jimmy risks his life, as he tries to stand tall and regain his place in the world.
'Jawbone' hits UK cinemas on 17th March.
"Paul would constantly send through any new ideas, demos, or recordings, and what was unique and beautiful about this approach was that Paul's new compositions were now inspiring and influencing the story as I was re-writing it. I'd also send Paul through new drafts of the script, or any new ideas as they were forming along the way, and a beautifully collaborative process evolved"
- Johnny Harris
'The Ballad Of Jimmy McCabe' is available now as an individual download or as an instant download when you pre-order the album (download only via Amazon).

"It’s their best songwriting to date, and I just hope people get to hear it because there are some great tunes and I like the message on the record. I like the social comment, because you have so little of that these days.”

"The video for These City Streets pays homage to the many thousands of lovers who have once walked and embraced on the same streets through time. I originally showed Paul a black and white film I had made, which he loved enough to ask me to make something similar featuring model Tara Griffin and myself and liked the idea of it being like a mini film. It's filmed in my usual handheld style and I think it's a beautiful video complementing the song, and where else to film it but Paris (the city of love)." - Andy Crofts
